About the Club
At NTU we currently have 12 BUCS teams who play on Wednesdays each at their highest respective level and 8 weekend teams all playing competitively.
Our 1st XI's are currently playing in the BUCS National League the top league in the UK. Alongside this the women's team have recently gained promotion to the England hockey national weekend league. Both performance groups have multiple international players and elite level scholars within the squad.
Hockey is one of NTU Sports designated performance programmes. As a performance programme, a selected squad of talented student athletes receive access to the following benefits:

A programme lead by a Full Time Head of Sport and Performance Coach

Access to coach lead Strength & Conditioning programmes – both face to face in the High Performance Centre at Clifton Campus and via remote programming

The NTU hockey club as a whole has great family culture and with every team throughout the club has access to two training sessions a week and all members have access to the pitch upon request without pressure to play in competition matches, this is to enable a positive performance culture whilst maintaining a great social feel.
